The children had a fantastic experience working with Aoife, who inspired them to explore their creativity and bring wonderful ideas to life. Throughout the project, they were deeply engaged, experimenting with reusable materials such as buttons, counting sticks, and Lego pieces to design something truly unique.

It was a lovely day unveiling the final creation — a beautiful mandala displayed on our wall, filled with colour, imagination, and the children’s own artistic touch. We extend a heartfelt thank-you to Aoife for everything she has done. She worked amazingly well with the children, guiding them with patience and enthusiasm, and the end result is absolutely wonderful. Please click on the link below to see some of their work.

We were delighted to be part of the Blast Initiative again this year. The BLAST initiative is an Arts and Creativity in Education Residency programme in Ireland, funded by the Department of Education, which brings professional creative practitioners into schools to work with students on collaborative, imaginative projects.

This year we were working with local artist Aoife Banville. Aoife was working with the students of the school over seven weeks to discuss, design and create an imaginative pieces.
